WEEK 1 Re-Cap
Week one is in the books and the Southeastern Blues came away with a 3-0 victory over Baldor at GWU field #1. The Blues played a tremendous defensive game, giving up zero shots on goal for the defenders and coming away with a clean sheet in the scoring column. Sweeper Jackson Ledbetter had a great first game at the sweeper position as well solid defensive games from Dakota Davis, Shelby Brady and Luke Earls. Mid-fielders Hayden Pruitt and Austin Roderick controlled the pace of the game very well, keeping the ball primarily on the opponents side of the field. Offensively, Seth Bowen paced the Blues going hat trick on the day with 3 goals, one assisted nicely by forward Gracie Patrick and the other by Drew Gamble. Bowen also scored on a penalty kick for the Blues. Blake "Tank" Roderick played very well up front at the forward position for the first time, and defender Mary Koch helped close down the Baldor attack in the final minutes. Goal Keeper Hunter Wolma played strong in the goal in keeping a clean sheet.
